Close-by to Pisang Peak, Chulu West can be ascended from a small
valley north of Manang. The best view of the peak can be
seen from the Throngla Pass (5416m/ft) of the Annapurna Circuit.
Expeditions head up from Yak pastures which lead to the
hidden valley, home of base camp. From there, climbers trek up
to an altitude of 5100m; a possible site for high camp. The
challenging summit climb is approached on the North/West flank
of Chulu. |
