Siklish Trek
Only a
small distance from the heavily trekked Annapurna region, this
exhilarating trek is an ideal introduction to the local people
and their exotic culture and life-style. In the balmy hills that
offer unbeatable scenic allures, it's an easy and pleasant short
trek to walk through the picturesque foothills. Superb mountain
views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Hiunchuli.
Currently generating more and more curiosity, this area is the
least trekked but also the most remarkable. Your experience here
is guaranteed to change your outlook on things.
Rough and wild, this trek cuts through less travelled country
south of Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal Massif, with good
mountain views and rough terrain. The local people are
unaccustomed to trekkers. This trek is a spectacular short trek
and traverses a variety of terrain from lowland villages and
rice terraces up to 3,000m, where one finds the biggest Gurung (Gurkhas)
village as well as a national flower forest of rhododendron best
seen in spring.
