Ghorepani is a short trek but probably most busy trekking trail in Annapurna. There is no other short trekking route in Annapurna which has this much natural diversity & cultural variety . Ghorepani – Poon Hill trek which is also known as Ghorepani Sun rise trek starts from Nayapul an hour car drive from Pokhara . In the beginning of Poon hill trek village life, culture, terrace view , water falls & green hill views can be enjoyed. From Ghorepani Mt. Annapurna & Mt. Dhaulagiri , over 8000 meters high mountain Can be viewed . Poon Hill offers most spectacular view of mountain peaks & sun rise over Himalayas. Ghandruk village is another attraction of this trek. Ghandruk is biggest habitation of “Gurkhas” who have glorious history they created in Second world war.

Itinerary In Details

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu and check-in to Hotel
Day 2 Tour of some of the major tourist attractions in the Kathmandu Valley by private Vehicle
Day 3 Travel to Pokhara by Tourist Bus. Visit around the lake and tourist markets. Over night Hotel
Day 4 Drive to Naya Pul by private Vehicle (1 hour) to begin trek. Trek to Tikhedhunga( 1540m) for 4 hours" Over night
Day 5 Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani( 2860m) for6 hours"" Over night
Day 6 Ghorepani (early morning hike to Poon Hill( 3193m) for sunrise view over Himalaya" After sun rise view continue trek to Tadapani( 2630m) for 5 hours" Over night
Day 7 Trek Tadapani to Ghandruk ( 1940m) for 3 hours"" Over night
Day 8 Ghandruk to Naya Pul (4 hours) and drive back to Pokhara by private vehicle" Over night
Day 9 Pokhara to Kathmandu by by Tourist Bus.Over night

Note: It is also possible to fly to Pokhara from Kathmandu & Fly to Kathmandu from Pokhara instead of driving by tourist bus. For comfortable road travel, private car or land cruiser can be used too.
